On March 5, 2017, 911 dispatchers received a call of shots fired in Estate Profit, St. Croix at around 7:59 p.m. Upon arrival to the scene officers found an unresponsive man lying on the ground bleeding. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by the EMT response team and was later identified as Hector Torres, 35, who was also known as “Pollo.”
On March 9, 2019, Crime Stoppers street signs were posted in the Estate Profit and Profit Hills area, also known as Harvey. In a matter of two weeks, 8 signs were removed by unknown individuals based on a “no snitching” street rule. We can’t allow the criminals to THINK they run the streets. It is time to show them who is REALLY in control. Removing signs does not make crime right!
On Thursday, August 18, 2016, at approximately 7:35 p.m., 911 Dispatch received a call of shots fired in the area of the Fire Station on Fort Pladsen Gade. Units from the Richard Callwood Command along with units from the Criminal Investigation Bureau traveled to the scene and observed a black male slumped over on a bench in the yard of the Fire Station. Preliminary investigation revealed that the male had sustained a gunshot wound to his upper body. Emergency Medical Technicians who were on scene, concluded that the male did not have any vital signs. Next of kin identified the male as fifty (50) year old Gregory Benson Louis.
