On Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at approximately 1:45 p.m. a burnt vehicle with a body inside was discovered in the Rainforest, in Frederiksted. VIPD Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Bureau said the burned vehicle belonged to 57-year-old Earl A. Charles Jr. and the body inside was later identified as his. The victim was reported missing by his brother on Monday, July 22, 2013 after he failed to return home. The brother of the victim said that he last saw the missing man at about 6 p.m. that afternoon driving his vehicle on the Queen Mary Highway in the vicinity of Estate Campo Rico.

On Saturday, January 1, 2017, at approximately 12:12 a.m., celebratory gunshots were discharged in the Bovoni Housing Community, in the area of Building D. During said celebration, Twenty-three (23) year old, TAHIEM THOMAS sustained a gunshot wound to his upper body. Mr. Thomas was transported to Schneider Regional Medical Center where he later succumbed to his injuries.
