$15,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of those involved in the shooting on July 28th during the Floatopia Celebration in Frederiksted, St Croix that resulted in six innocent men, women and children being injured and hundreds of people being traumatized.

On Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at approximately 8:58 p.m., officers from the St. John Jurgen Command responded to the 911 call of shots fired in the Bayside area near Caps Place in Cruz Bay, St. John. Upon arrival, officers found an alert and responsive black male in his early to mid-30s, Kwane Jean-Baptiste, a local resident who was shot multiple times in his lower extremities. Additional detectives and crime scene technicians processed the scene and discovered that at least seven shots were discharged at the scene. Officers then accompanied the alert Jean-Baptiste to the Myrah Keating Smith Clinic for treatment. Jean-Baptiste refused to give any information to the officers about the incident saying that “he doesn’t know what happened. This case is currently under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau.

On Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at approximately 10:30 a.m., officers from the M. C. Newton Command and units from the Criminal Investigation Bureau, traveled to the Roy L. Schneider Regional Medical Center in response to a reported assault.

When officers arrived at the medical center, contact was made with an adult black male, Ivan Alexander, who stated that about 10:00 a.m. he was walking on the public roadway in the area of Louie’s Market in Smith Bay, St. Thomas. While walking, Alexander told officers that he felt a stinging sensation to the left side of his back. He told officers that he did not hear gunshots nor observe anyone in the area with a gun.

Alexander sustained a laceration to the left side of his back and was treated and released from the medical center. This case is currently under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau.
