On Thursday, May 7, 2005 at approximately 1pm Winston “Reds”” Francis, 67, an Estate Profit businessman who owned and operated a check cashing business was shot and robbed by two masked man outside the Sunny Isle Scotia Bank parking lot. The armed robbers snatched a bag containing an undetermined amount of money and fled the scene in a white sedan which was later found abandoned between Strawberry Ridge and Bonne Esperance. The victim underwent an emergency surgery and was listed in stable to serious condition but took a turn for the worse overnight and died at the hospital.

Near the abandoned car, police found evidentiary items including: bulletproof vests, a two-way radio, and a black shirt and described the suspects as having a light complexion and wearing masks at the time of robbery.

On 12/27/17 at about 3:15 p.m., V.I.P.D. Officers traveled to OHC housing community in regards to reports of shots being fired. Upon arrival, the officers observed an unresponsive black male lying on the ground with what appeared to be blood on his clothing. The victim was examined by EMTs who discovered he had no vital signs.

The deceased was identified as 22-year-old Jahbari Joseph. Please provide police any information that you may have on this crime.
